Welcome 2012!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Jeff and I planned on heading down to Sydney Harbor to stake out our spot around 1pm yesterday. Apparently people had been camping out the night before for good spots already when we got a great call!

We had been invited to a New Year's Eve celebration at a rooftop apartment in the Rocks. For those of you not familiar with the Sydney area - this is the oldest part of the Harbor, wedged in between the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Circular Quay. It even has great views of the Sydney Opera House! AMAZING!

We quickly abandoned our picnic day idea and headed off to the party!

This was the best view ever!

So happy to celebrate here! What a view!

The guys had a great time too

Clearly I loved the view and took several pictures as the sun set!

They do two fireworks shows every New Year's Eve. The first is a shorter show at 9PM for families to watch with their kids. The second is the main show at midnight. I was in awe of the show that I barely took any pictures that turned out well! These below don't do the fireworks justice, to see a glimpse of we saw check here.

This was the best firework show we have ever seen and I know I will never forget it!
Here's to a wonderful new year full of new adventures.
Happy New Year!
